Marble Queen Pothos

Read on to learn how to care for this beautiful pothos variety. Plus, marble queen pothos propagation tips!

The Marble Queen Pothos

It's easy to see why it's such a popular pothos variety!

Is known for its heavily variegated cream, light green, and dark green foliage.

LIGHT

Bright, indirect light is best. Variegated plants NEED bright light in order to maintain their variegation.

If you're worried about losing variegation because of lack of enough natural light, you can use a grow light!

TIP!

WATER

Water when the top inch or two of the potting mix is dry. If you notice curly, droopy leaves, that means your marble queen pothos is thirsty!

HUMIDITY

Pothos are native to humid environments and love humidity! You can use a humidifier to recreate this. However, don't stress TOO much about humidity—pothos are very forgiving plants.

POTTING MIX

Use a well-draining indoor plant potting mix. Adding a few handfuls of perlite is helpful for providing extra drainage!

Marble queen pothos is a climbing plant. Giving it a moss pole to climb will keep it happy and help it grow larger!

IMPORTANT TIP!

And Now... Marble Queen Pothos Propagation

The pothos is one of the easiest plants to propagate. Read on for a simple, five-step propagation guide!

STEP ONE

Identify some healthy vines each with a few leaves and a few nodes. Use a pair of clean, sharp scissors to cut off the vines below a node.

"Below" the node means the node is included on the part of the vine you cut off. This is crucial because new growth comes from the nodes.

IMPORTANT TIP!

STEP TWO

Put the cuttings in a jar of water. Make sure the node is underneath the surface of the water, but the leaves are above the surface. You can remove some of the lower leaves if you need to.

STEP THREE

Place the jar in an area that receives bright, indirect light. Refill or replace the water when needed.

STEP FOUR

Once the roots are two to three inches long, you can plant the cuttings into a pot with a well-draining potting mix.

STEP FIVE

Water the newly potted cuttings. That's it! Now you can begin to care for your new marble queen pothos how you normally would.
